JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Assistant Branch Manager - Plymouth Meeting Branch

Department: Retail Division

Reports To: Branch Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for leading, coaching and managing the overall performance of the Member Service Representatives. Assists the Branch Manager in achieving all sales and performance goals of the branch and acts as the back-up to the Branch Manager. Ensures branch provides superior member experience through building a strong, collaborative and self-sufficient team. This is an individual and team production sales and service role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as Branch Manager in their absence.
  • Perform all branch duties and responsibilities as necessary
  • Ensures operational integrity including compliance in all policies and procedures.
  • Includes managing operating expenses of branch.
  • Partners with Field Representative to identify and correct potential audit issues and recurring exceptions
  • Assures Branch physical security; dual control, audits, compliance with regulatory policies and procedures. Includes after hours support for alarms and ATMs.
  • Responsible for loss prevention and protecting the TruMark from controllable losses including, but not limited to, identity theft, kiting, new account fraud, counterfeit check fraud, processing errors, teller differences and theft.
  • Implements existing policies and procedures and makes recommendations regarding revisions.
  • Responsible for achieving all sales, service, operational and profitability goals in an ethical and sound manner.
  • Creates a team environment, influencing and evolving the branch sales culture and the development of and execution of the TruService Member Experience
  • Coaches, trains and mentors all branch personnel in all areas of service, sales and branch operations.
  • Responsible for influencing and evolving the branch culture, the development of and execution of the TruService Member Experience in an ethical and sound manner.
  • Consistently provide superior member service to both internal and external members beyond existing standards and provides after hours support for the alarm system and ATM
  • Assists in generating additional business through community business visits as well as in-branch promotions and telephone sales.
  • Is innovative and forward thinking with the retail industry and stays current with the usage of systems and technology to better demonstrate alternative delivery channels.
  • Coordinate work schedules with vacations and approved leaves of absence to ensure adequate service coverage is maintained within staffing levels.
  • Assists in branch functions and community activities to promote the credit union's image and growth.
  • Utilizes sound business judgment in analyzing loan applications in accordance with associated loan officer designation.
  • Involved with recommendations for hires, termination, promotions, transfers, training and development, disciplinary notices, performance appraisals and interpretation of credit union rules and polices for department personnel. Conduct all personnel functions in accordance with applicable statues.
  • Remains active in credit union training programs. Complete the position's present curriculum as outlined by completing the following - credit union annual required compliance training and the supplemental courses listed within the prescribed time. Follows policy and procedure daily to ensure compliant with current regulations.
  • Required to attend Bank Secrecy Act training annually.
  • Complete all tasks, assignments or functions as assigned and/or necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • An Associate's degree and/or 3 years of branch or equivalent experience with a financial institution, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
  • Job related continuing education as necessary.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with members and employees.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to perform expeditiously and accurately without constant supervision and frequent interruption.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Excellent technical aptitude.
  • Nature of position creates the possibility of temporary or permanent reassignments within TruMark Financial's branch office network.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Being a team player that is considerate of other employees.
  • Must have excellent conflict resolutions skills.
  • Ability to multi - task under pressure.
  • Flex time may be necessary to include nights and weekends.


Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret compensation, tax, financial, legal, regulatory reports and documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from members, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present job related information to employees.

Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate standard office equipment including but not limited to: a computer, typewriter, adding machine, facsimile machine, photocopier, and telephone.
