Scheduling for our team is focused on consistency and maintaining a work/life balance. At this location, you’ll never be required to work holidays, evenings, or weekends and there is no call required. This role is scheduled to work: 

  • Tuesday through Friday, start time: 6:00am/6:30am until 2:30/3:00pm

  • Children’s surgery centers are the first and only in Minnesota to be verified as a Level I Children’s Surgery Center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Children’s Surgery Verification Quality Improvement Program.
  • In 2018, our team performed 3200 surgeries in these specialty areas: ear, nose and throat (ENT); dental and oral surgery; endoscopy; colonoscopy; plastics; general surgery; ophthalmology; physiatry; and urology.

You’ll Make an Impact as a Surg Tech at Children’s Minnesota by: 

  • Providing the safest delivery of high-quality care for our patients
  • Showcasing your highly skilled intra-operative technical expertise and care for the surgical patient through planning and implementation of the needs of the surgical procedure
  • Utilizing your skills to assist the surgeon team, set up and scrub all surgical procedures
  • Operating as the sterile team member on all surgical procedures - You'll be responsible for aseptic technique and maintaining a sterile field while constantly anticipating the surgeon's needs.  
  • Incorporating knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to anticipate the patients and surgeons needs before they arise to attain the best outcome for the patient and keeping surgical time to a minimum
