POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, Social and Earned Media at Loud And Live will play a crucial role overseeing and driving the company's earned media strategy, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement for clients across various industries. This role involves developing and executing social media strategies, influencer partnerships, media relations strategies and organic brand-building initiatives to enhance audience reach and elevate brand integrated campaigns that amplify brand stories.

The ideal candidate should bring a mix of creativity, strategic insight, and analytical thinking to the role, ensuring successful media placements and driving organic engagement for Loud And Live's diverse roster of clients.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Team Leadership

  • Lead the earned media team, focusing on driving growth and innovation for Loud And Live's agency clients, live event properties, and entertainment business.
  • Mentor and support team members' growth, development, and performance.
  • Push the team to proactively bring bold and creative ideas to the table, fostering an environment of innovation.
  • Allocate resources and manage workload to balance priorities across the department, ensuring efficient execution of all projects and meeting the needs of both clients and live events/entertainment.
Strategy Development
  • Develop and execute cutting-edge social and earned media strategies tailored to agency clients, live event properties, and entertainment campaigns.
  • Be the first to understand, evangelize, and implement best practices, formats, innovations, and opportunities in social content to ensure the agency stays ahead of industry trends.
  • Leverage data, analytics, and social listening to drive strategic and creative improvements across social accounts, optimizing performance both individually and across campaigns.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging platforms, and media consumption behavior to drive innovative for Loud And Live's roster of clients.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive earned media strategies that aligns with the company's overall marketing and brand client objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for brand exposure through media placements, influencer partnerships, PR campaigns, and organic social strategies.
Influencer Marketing:
  • Identify and manage partnerships with influencers, thought leaders, and brand advocates to drive earned media through content and collaborations.
  • Develop influencer engagement strategies that align with campaign goals and drive authentic brand storytelling.
  • Oversee influencer outreach, contract negotiation, and content creation, ensuring deliverables meet campaign objectives and brand standards.
  • Track and analyze the impact of influencer partnerships, optimizing strategies based on engagement metrics and ROI.
Media Relations & Outreach
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, influencers, bloggers, and content creators across various industries.
  • Oversee media outreach efforts, including pitching stories, securing interviews, and coordinating press coverage for marketing events & brand campaigns.
  • Coordinate with clients and internal teams to manage media opportunities, interviews, and press events.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
  • Utilize analytics tools to measure the success of earned media efforts, including media placements, influencer partnerships, and organic social engagement.
  • Provide detailed reports on earned media performance, highlighting key metrics such as impressions, engagement, reach, and ROI.
  • Analyze campaign results and use data-driven insights to optimize future strategies.
New Business
  • Lead new business initiatives related to social and earned media, working closely with clients to understand their needs.
  • Oversee onboarding of new clients, developing strategies and resources to integrate them seamlessly into the department's workflow.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  • 8-10+ years of relevant experience in PR, media relations, or earned media management, preferably within an agency or experiential marketing environment.
  • Extremely familiar with the social media landscape and products (organic and paid) and how they can be leveraged for key marketing objectives.
  • A broad understanding of digital marketing and how social media contributes to brand/business growth.
  • Extensive experience in social-first creative agencies, leading organic & paid social, and social-first campaigns.
  • Proven track record of successful media placements, and organic brand-building campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of media landscapes, influencer marketing, and social media platforms.
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze and understand audience traits and behaviors on social media, both globally and locally with proven success in creating and executing strategy.
  • Demonstrates experience handling multiple clients, projects and workstreams across different territories and proven experience working with or for complex organizational structures
  • Passion and experience delighting clients and going above & beyond.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to craft compelling stories and pitches.
  • Passion for experiential marketing and a deep understanding of how earned media can amplify brand experiences.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to assess campaign performance and adjust tactics as needed.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
