Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Specialist Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years PCU experience with medical/surgical background License: Active DE License required Certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only) Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of PCU experience, BLS/ACLS certifications, compact RN license preferred Job Description: - PCU experience required with responsibilities including general nursing duties and specific procedures.- Utilize equipment such as the Cerner System (EPIC conversion 7/2021) and Omnicell automated medication cabinet.- Rotating schedules Sunday through Saturday, with on-call duties as needed. Employee will not work alone and will be scheduled with others at all times.- Option to float to MedSurg as needed.- Work in a 20-bed step-down unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1.- Dress code required: Navy Blue.- Comprehensive training and orientation, including one day with an Educator and two days on the unit with a registered nurse.- Guaranteed hours will not apply during the orientation period.- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility.
