Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-hour nights

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical experience in a PCU

License: Active Nursing License required

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required

Must-Have: Must not live within 100 miles of the facility. Option for on-call is required.

Job Description:

- Conduct general nursing duties and manage PCU procedures
- Utilize Cerner and EPIC charting systems, with access to Omnicell automated medication cabinets
- Work a rotating schedule from Sunday through Saturday, with no solo shifts; option for on-call work
- Occasionally float to other units such as Medical/Surgical
- Work within a 20-bed step-down unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1
- Follow a navy blue dress code
- Participate in a comprehensive orientation program: One day with an educator and two days on the unit with a fellow RN
- Flexible schedule with every other week RN orientation

Comments: Guaranteed hours will not apply during the orientation period.
