As a DevOps engineer on our team, you'll contribute to modernization efforts to incorporate monitoring, automation, and container orchestration tools to increase the scalability and availability of a large, complex lab-based development environment. You will leverage DevSecOps expertise to incorporate modern software development approaches and tools to achieve higher team velocity through the prototyping, development, testing, and release lifecycles.You'll ensure an Infrastructure as Code (IAC) mindset first and incorporate continuous monitoring to ensure a secure development environment is maintained.This is an opportunity to broaden your experience in software engineering while helping to develop software that will completely transform workflows and make a real impact. You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with creating scripts in bash to automate the build release processes and debug build failures

  • 5+ years of experience with developing Python scripts to automate application migration and monitor application health during migration

  • Experience with writing Perl, PowerShell, or shell scripts

  • Experience with automating the build and release management process using Jenkins, including monitoring changes between releases

  • Ability to write, debug, and maintain scripts in bash or Perl

  • Ability to forward plan the release windows, scope, and roadblocks across the integrated platform and product teams

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Ability to collaborate with project managers and developers to refine interaction design

  • Ability to update the team about information architecture and UI issues

  • Ability to work closely with project managers, system administrators, QA Analysts, DBAs, and Development teams during the development, test, and launch phases of the software development life cycle

  • Ability to configure and release application and website code into QA and Production environments

  • DOD 8570.01 Certification, including Security+, Linux, AWS, or Microsoft

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
