Human Resources Assistant

Purpose

The Human Resources Assistant will primarily assist the Director of Human Resourcesin our Las Vegas corporate office.

This position is responsible to ensure that payroll for corporate personnel is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local government regulations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical support in administration of company leave policies, and leave pursuant to federal and state Family Medical Leave Act.
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Performs periodic audits to verify company policies and procedures are maintained.
  • Work closely with management team members to complete various projects.
  • Provide assistance with researching issues in Payroll and HR systems.
  • Complete and answer requests for verification of employment.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
  • Copy, file and fax documents as requested.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Some knowledge of the payroll function to include preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to include spreadsheet word document software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively present information to team members and management.
Education and Experience
At least 3 years of recent payroll compliance and HRIS experience. Recent and proficient skills and experience with Microsoft Suite software. High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college education preferred.
