REPORTS TO: Chief Technology Officer

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the production software systems utilized by the organization. Management and administration duties will include developing a working knowledge of the production applications and the primary use cases, then evaluate workflows, reports, dashboards, saved searches, and custom forms that could make the work less manual or more efficient. Utilize API and other data migration/manipulation techniques to move data between production systems to minimize manual transfers, exports, and imports. Fully document system integrations, interfaces, and configurations to include high-level overviews, table, field, and use case descriptions and diagrams. Provide support to management and the organization for administration of the production systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guiding the technical direction of projects
  • Ensuring coding standards are met
  • Mentoring junior team members
  • Making decisions about architecture, tools, and technologies
  • Creating and designing software applications and systems
  • Analyzing specifications
  • Conducting quality testing
  • Enhancing user interfaces
  • Collaborate with Executive leadership to enhance system configurations and system cohesiveness with regard to daily work flow and production demands
  • Attend technology events as required.
  • Participate in team meetings and training.
  • Other special projects and duties as assigned by Manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Analytical thinking skills and critical analysis.
  • Familiarity with Blazor, ASPNET Core, C#, HTML, CSS, modular coding, API, JSON, JavaScript, system integration. AWS, GitHub and Docker knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to perform discovery of use cases and understand business processes and convert that knowledge into system modifications that enhance workflow and efficiency
  • Ability to document and diagram use cases, APIs, Program flows, and functional logic
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Vendor Specific Software.
  • Ability to travel overnight, when required.
  • Self-motivated and results driven with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively present information using a consultative approach.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS

This position has some supervisory responsibilities (team lead for 1 Junior programmer) and interacts frequently with various internal team members to coordinate client success.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • 4 year programming related degree or 5+ years equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Vendor Specific Software


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Sitting/Standing

Some bending, stooping and crawling under desks. Climbing of ladders and work on scaffolding is a daily requirement. Will also work in attics, ceilings and drop grid areas of buildings.

Occasionally loads and sets up hardware, moves up to 50 pounds of equipment.

Working Conditions

Normal working conditions in an office environment absent extreme factors. Evening and weekend work may be required to meet work demands. May experience inclement weather while travelling.
