* Parker Meggitt Fluid Systems Division - The North Hollywood, California site was established in 1947 and acquired by Meggitt in 1999 and by Parker Hannifin Aerospace in 2021. In 2019, the facility was designated as Meggitt's Machining Center of Excellence, with state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment.
* Parker Meggitt Fluid Systems Division - North Hollywood, California manufacturing features an upgraded 110k square foot, world-class manufacturing and testing facility. The facility has been designated as a Machining Center of Excellence within the Parker Meggitt group with recent additions of state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment. We also have testing capabilities for fluid and pneumatic valves that can duplicate the high temperatures, pressures, and flow rates of modern aircraft systems. With our in-house design and development capabilities and with our growing product portfolio we are in a leadership position for the next generation of high-performance aircraft engines and airframes.
* Parker Meggitt Fluid Systems Division - North Hollywood, California facility designs and manufactures valves and controls that regulate the flow of air and fluids under pressure and high temperatures. Its pneumatic and fluid control lines include fuel, mixing, and starter valves, air-oil separators, and solenoid valves used in commercial and military aircraft and aero engines. Industrial offerings provide fuel and bleed-air control valves and ground fueling products for power generation and mechanical drives.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer defines and implements quality assurance solutions to a wide range of complex issues. Ensures a high reliability and proper performance per product requirements. Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Performs complex quality assurance tests and inspection activities
* Initiates and leads root cause analysis for process related concerns, analyzes process audit results, and recommends proper corrective and preventive action
* Establishes the quality requirement, assuring that delivered products/components meet the design and reliability requirements
* Operates within established budgets by developing cost effective methods to improve quality
* Approves manufacturing processes, test instructions and specifications for conformance to program quality requirements
* Performs Quality audits on various processes to ensure that all requirements are being followed Provides significant expertise and knowledge on complex issues and acts as a professional resource for colleagues
* May be assigned to one of the following areas: Quality Systems, Supplier Quality Assurance or Project Product Assurance
* Other responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree is required

Experience:

  • 5+ years of supplier quality experience working with increasingly progressive levels of responsibility in contracts within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
  • Related contracting courses in government, commercial and international contracting, trade compliance, leadership, management, and program management desired.
  • Travel requirement: 10% annual
  • * Skills:

o Advanced knowledge of Quality Engineering processes and regulatory requirements; demonstrated analytical skills to proactively identify and solve problems.
o Ability to exercise a high degree of originality and independent judgment in addition to keeping abreast of new production technology and engineering advancements.
o Able to solve complex problems; makes decisions based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
o Ability to improve products or services by applying professional and business knowledge.
o Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
o Have working knowledge of organization structure and communications process.
o Be proficient with computer/electronic media (i.e. Microsoft word, power point, excel, project, etc.).
o Excellent communication (written & verbal) and people skills.
o Knowledge of Quality System requirements or processes.
o Must work well in a Team Environment.
o Must be problem solvers

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $94K-$152K plus 10% STIP (Target budget: $110K-$120K)
