Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob DesignationThe Supplier Quality Engineer provides a range of expertise to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed. Participates in assuring a high reliability and proper performance per product requirements.
Job Core ResponsibilitiesEnsure the Health and Safety policies and procedure are adhered tooProvides technical and regulatory expertise for a range of quality assurance testing and inspection activities associated with product development and manufacturing, along with Suppliers technical dataPerforms supplier audits of the operation process using inspection results and statistical techniques to provide timely, accurate process and product analysisIssues and performs root cause analysis initiatives for process related concerns associated with Supplier performance. Trains Mentors suppliers on RCCA activities
Responsible for monthly reporting dutiesAnalyzes audit results and determines proper corrective and preventive actionDefines and conducts both systematic/methodical and random/arbitrary tests to ensure proper performance of productsReviews and creates inspection forms, supplier flow down requirements, records, techniques and procedures for accuracy and relevance and provide changes when necessaryManagement Supplier Quality teamEnsure alignment of supplier controls with Receiving inspectionEnsure Receiving Inspection plans are implemented and optimizedBuilding productive internal/external working relationshipsOther responsibilities as assignedConsistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significanceRegular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Job Specifications:Education : Post-secondary degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education
Certifications :Ability to obtain AS9100 Rev D Lead Auditor CertificationAbility to obtain AS13100 level 1 2 Certification
Years Experience: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience
Skills :Knowledge of complex Quality Engineering processes and regulatory requirementsExcellent ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solvingAdvanced knowledge and ability to apply core concepts of engineeringAbility to interpret internal/external engineering drawings and make recommendations for improvements to products, processes or servicesAbility to communicate a range of complex technical informationDemonstrated analytical skills to proactively identify and solve problemsEffective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
