Job duties:

  • Prepare & review tax returns primarily for private clients/high net worth individuals
  • Assure compliance with federal, state and local tax laws and regulations
  • Conduct research and planning to resolve client issues according to applicable tax laws and regulations
  • Provide assistance during tax audits and respond to notices from tax authorities
  • Direct client contact involving tax matters, transactional consulting, tax research, and compliance.
  • Ability to anticipate client questions and is prepared to respond with practical solutions than can be implemented
  • Complete assigned projects in a timely manner and keep supervisors apprised of job status
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 or more years' experience from public accounting
  • CPA is not required, but is preferred
  • Experience preparing individual tax returns
  • Good working knowledge of current tax laws
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Forward thinking, positive attitude and understands the value of a team approach
  • Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Willingness to learn new professional concepts and techniques
  • Commitment to exceptional client service

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
