Role Overview:
The Senior Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and security of our systems. This position requires a deep understanding of systems engineering and cybersecurity protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply systems engineering methodologies and principles effectively.
- Familiarize with cybersecurity frameworks such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), DIACAP, STIGs, and other relevant security standards.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity technologies and industry trends.
- Support organizational goals and objectives through effective security practices.
- Integrate security architecture and best practices into project designs.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Promote innovative ideas and security concepts.
- Identify and communicate issues, impacts, and remediation strategies related to cybersecurity design and execution.
- Document and report on cybersecurity systems engineering initiatives.
- Engage with senior security teams and maintain ongoing communication.
- Lead and facilitate security-focused workgroups.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering professionals.
- Engage with external clients' security experts to ensure alignment.
- Implement project management principles including SPI/CPI, Cost Account Management (CAM), and Statistical Process Controls.
- Demonstrate creativity and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics is required.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
- Possession of a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is mandatory. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens.
