Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Routine yard and shop maintenance (organization, cleaning shop floors, cleaning drains, monitor garbage bin for crushing and removal, shop and office garbage removal, snow removal, lawn and yard upkeep (starting in 2025), etc.) and any necessary repairs to exterior/interior property
  • Schedule fleet for oil changes, service, tires, windshields, repairs, new vehicle decals/lettering, etc.
  • Small equipment repair (example fans, dehumidifiers, tools, vacuums, cords, etc.)
  • Monitor, address, and communicate fleet opportunity requests and tag-outs
  • Perform scheduled routine maintenance on heat trailers, generators, air compressors, forklifts, and carpet cleaning vans
  • Order parts from vendors when applicable
  • Minor vehicle (fleet) repairs/maintenance that can be done in-house
  • Maintain registrations and current insurance information (existing and new)
  • Interpret reports, monitor warnings, and key in data into our electronic fleet monitoring system (Geotab)
  • Maintain fleet spreadsheet (who is assigned, milage, tire pressure, etc.)
  • Vehicle retrieval from accidents or breakdowns, including rare after hours
  • Use appropriate equipment to place/move material in a safe manner
  • Tow trailers (dump, flat bed, etc.) on a needed basis
Additional Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist Internal Project Manager on various tasks such as inventory, pricing and material updates, emergency material requests, and assisting incoming vendors by unloading materials to appropriate locations
  • Shop safety including OSHA compliances, assisting with equipment training, general safety observations, participation in safety committee meetings
Experience and Skills:
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay organized and multitask.
  • General maintenance or warehouse experience (1 + year(s), preferred).
  • Ability to tow/back a trailer (willing to train)
  • Experience with operation of forklift, skid steer, and/or telehandler (willing to train)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Demands:
  • Lift (consistently) 5-20 lbs., lift (frequently) 20-50 lbs.
  • May involve significant stand/walk, push/pull.
  • Occasional climbing (ladders, etc.), balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling.
  • Exposure to weather with temperatures ranging from mild to moderate.
Pay:
  • $20 to $24, DOE
  • After hours pick-up bonus (time and a half)
  • 90 day review
