Job#: 2054435 Job Description: Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Manufacturing Engineer for our client based out of Macungie, PA. This assignment is anticipated to be a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment. This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule. Responsibilities: Develop assembly processes to meet manufacturing targets using Lean Manufacturing principles. Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency in the production process. Create and maintain work instructions, determine appropriate manpower levels, and provide line support and service to production. Industrialize new product and process changes according to project gate plan deliverables with a zero disturbance mindset. Determine assembly sequence, time standards, line balancing, station design, and tooling requirements. Perform time studies for new processes using time MCTM (Methods Calculate Time Montage) standards. Identify tooling and equipment needs based on new product changes and processes. Lead continuous improvement activities focused on ergonomics, cost efficiency, productivity, and performance. Implement Industry 4.0 technologies with flexibility for product and volume changes. Participate in global and regional Manufacturing Engineering networks to contribute and roll out Manufacturing Engineering strategies. Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a technical manufacturing role. 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing. Knowledge of engineering concepts, manufacturing, product, production standards, and efficiency optimization tools; process-oriented. Strong analytical skills and demonstrated focus on process and Lean Manufacturing concepts. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage change and react to production issues with urgency. Experience in a team-based environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Software knowledge: AutoCAD, Catia/Creo.
