Summary
The Senior Relationship Manager will affect the destinies of millions of children around the world while utilizing his/her experience and gifting to take responsibility for the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of major and planned gift prospects and partners and will create and implement a comprehensive plan to attract new individual partners and retain existing partners, while increasing their levels of support for and engagement with OneHope.
Where appropriate, the SRM is also responsible for developing and implementing strategies to raise funds from private foundations and corporations, maintaining relationships with funding institutions and key staff of current and potential funders. The SRM will work with and function as a valuable member of the Advancement team, interacting with current and prospective major partners.
Key Responsibilities
● Cultivate and steward an active portfolio of major partners and prospects through best practice development techniques to secure philanthropic support to meet annual goals.
● Ensure all partners are stewarded through a “Moves Management” development process focused on Value Development.
● Embrace a relationship-focused approach to Major Gifts fundraising as part of the organization’s overall fundraising plan.
● Identify and qualify prospective supporters capable of making gifts of $25,000+.
● Cultivate current and prospective Major Gifts partners to both understand their motivation for supporting OneHope and provide them opportunities for direct funding to the programs that best meet their priorities.
● Provide high-level, personalized stewardship to all Major and Planned Gift partners, including gift acknowledgments, recognition, and support.
● Strategically implement an events strategy to successfully engage and inspire partners and potential partners with OneHope’s vision.
● As assigned, support the relationships of the Executive Team and assist in cultivation of partners under their care.
● Leverage VPs, GVPs, and other OneHope ministry staff skills and experience to add value to major gift partners.
● Meet with partners in face-to-face settings and special events where appropriate.
● Collaborate with other team members to design and implement strategies for the pursuit of various Advancement goals as directed by leadership.
Other Required Skills and Abilities
● Bachelor's Degree Required
● Minimum of seven years of fundraising or sales experience
● Experience in closing major gifts of $25,000
- ● Superior partnership development skills
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● A self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
● Ability to work in a complex, rapidly changing environment
● Highly collaborative, feedback-oriented, and results-focused
● Cross-culturally sensitive and adaptable
● Fluency with appropriate software solutions
Work Environment
● Will work remotely, but will be available to attend meetings, chapel, staff functions in person as required in the Florida office.
● The SRM will maintain an up-to-date calendar that reflects work commitments. Generally, he/she will work regular office hours (M-F, 8-5) except when partner requirements necessitate an adjusted schedule including evenings and weekends.
● Travel for events, partner meetings and other engagements will be required up to 50-60%
● Some international travel will likely be required.
