Position Title: : Data Entry Specialist*- Remote

Location: St. Louis, MO 63105
Anticipated Start Date: 10/15/2024

Job description :

The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately inputting and managing data by operating data entry devices, such as keyboards or computers. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, effective personal project management, and proficiency in documentation and time management.

**Job Responsibilities:**

Data Input: Read and interpret source documents (e.g., canceled checks, sales reports, bills) and input data into specific fields, tapes, or disks for subsequent processing using keyboards or scanners.
Data Verification: Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before entry to ensure high-quality and reliable data processing.
Error Detection: Locate and correct data entry errors, or report discrepancies to supervisors. Re-enter data or compare it with source documents to detect and resolve errors.
Documentation: Maintain logs of activities and completed work to ensure proper tracking and documentation of data entry processes.
Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report issues and provide updates on data entry tasks.

Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to focus on accuracy and detail in data processing.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well independently and collaborate effectively with others.
Time Management: Proficient in managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Data Entry Speed: Ability to complete a speed and accuracy data entry test (may be required).

**Education/Experience:**
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: 0-2 years of related experience preferred.
