On any given day, you’ll:
- Perform construction observation on transportation projects.
- Perform quantity measurements and computations, record keeping, contractor pay estimate preparation and review of contractor progress; materials testing; field staking and general inspection for transportation projects.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications and take appropriate action to ensure the project is constructed in conformance with the requirements of the project construction contract.
- Maintain client relations while in the field.
- Prepare reports, review design standards and code requirements, and conduct field investigation of design problems.
- Previous WisDOT transportation construction observation experience
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
