Reference #: 2031 Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our infrastructure, both in the cloud and on premises. You will also be responsible for providing excellent customer support and guiding clients through the installation and management of Certara software products. Your expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, AWS, networking, and Python will be essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions, both on premises and in the cloud (AWS). Develop and maintain automated deployment processes using Kubernetes and Docker to ensure efficient and consistent deployment of software applications. Collaborate with development teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and streamline the software release process. Monitor and optimize system performance, including resource utilization, capacity planning, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and scalability. Provide technical guidance and support to clients during the installation, configuration, and management of Certara software products. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address infrastructure-related issues and implement proactive solutions. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potential for improving our infrastructure and processes. Collaborate with the customer support team to understand client requirements and provide timely and effective solutions. Proactively identify areas for process improvement, automation, and increased efficiency. Foster a customer-centric mindset and maintain excellent customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and support. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably in a senior or lead role. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Linux operating systems, AWS/Azure/GCP services, networking principles, and Python and Bash scripting. Experience managing and optimizing infrastructure in both cloud and on-premises environments. Proficient in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools (e.g., GitHub, Circle CI CI/CD). Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex system issues. Solid understanding of software development practices and methodologies. Exceptional customer-facing and communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and departments. Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
