We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support our SaaS platform operations, focusing on production support, monitoring, and ensuring SLAs are met across multiple environments. The ideal candidate has a background in Data Warehouse support and experience in managing cloud-based platforms with a robust skill set in CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting, and automation. This role requires close collaboration with engineers to monitor workflows, manage emergency changes, and handle job failures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Support: Monitor and manage production environments, create tickets, handle emergency changes, and troubleshoot job failures to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Operations Coordination: Work with Data Warehouse teams and engineers to maintain efficient operations and adhere to SLAs.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, automate deployments across multiple environments, and streamline the software delivery process.
  • Platform & Tool Management: Oversee various DevOps tools and platforms, including SSIS, SQL Server, DBT, Snowflake, Azure DevOps, GitHub/GitHub Actions, and Power BI.
  • Build & Release Optimization: Configure build pipelines to support efficient and timely code deployments, optimizing build times by using parallel builds and custom scripts.
  • Compliance & Approval: Implement and manage approval gates within release pipelines to ensure controlled and compliant deployments to production.
  • Documentation & Support: Maintain documentation for build, deployment, and release processes; provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for production issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience: Over 7 years in IT, with a strong focus on DevOps, including automation, code deployment, and environment management.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • DevOps Tools: Proficiency with Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, and CI/CD practices.
    • Cloud Providers: Experience with AWS and Azure, including managing cloud-based environments.
    • Data Platforms: Familiarity with data warehousing tools such as DBT, Snowflake, and SSIS/SQL Server.
    • Programming & Scripting: Skilled in Shell, PowerShell, and pipeline automation.
    • Version Control: Experience with Git repositories, SVN, GitLab, and version control best practices.
  • Skills in Automation & Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex deployment issues and maintain consistent build processes.
  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Solid understanding of storage, virtualization, load balancers, and databases (MySQL, SQL DB, Oracle).
  • Agile Practices: Knowledge of Agile and SCRUM methodologies, with experience in Software Configuration Management (SCM).
  • Additional Tools: Proficient with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace), and bug tracking (JIRA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building and supporting Data Warehouse environments.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and analytics.
  • Proven success in optimizing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, including setting up automated approval gates and custom build tasks.
