Orthopedic Technician
  • Position: Orthopedic Technician, Department of Orthopedics
  • Location: Lincolnshire, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, rotating hours between 7:00am and 7:00pm
What you will do:
  • Greet patients and place in exam room
  • Perform vital signs
  • Perform dressing changes
  • Fit required durable medical equipment (DME)
  • Cast removal, cast and splint application
  • Assistance with casting procedures under fluoroscopy
  • Speak with patients over the phone and assist with problems
  • Educate patients on care
  • Support physician and office activity
What you will need:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited medical assistant program preferred
  • Certification: Current CPR certification required, passing the Registered Orthopedic Technologist certification test within 12 months of hire date
  • Experience: One year of experience in a physician practice setting preferred
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Evidence of leadership, problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, basic computer skills and clinical competence
