As a result, a full-time position is available for a Construction Project Engineer position at our Wauwatosa, WI office location.

Responsibilities include: serving as the project engineer on transportation construction engineering and inspection projects throughout the state of Wisconsin; monitoring construction activities, conducting inspections, performing contract administration, monitoring contractor schedules and budgets and internal department budgets; and, establishing and maintaining relationships with clients.

Travel to construction sites throughout the state is an essential function of this position; a valid driver's license is required. Extended hours and occasional overnight stays may be required.

The successful candidate will have all of the following:

  • a bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
  • at least 4 years of relevant work experience
  • a PE license in any state with ability to obtain in Wisconsin within six months of start date

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

  • Transportation construction project management (preferably WisDOT)
  • PE license in the state of Wisconsin
  • AutoCAD Civil3D, Microsoft Office, and AASHTOWare Project software
  • Materials testing equipment and procedures
  • Survey equipment
  • Marketing and proposal preparation for project pursuits
  • Client management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
