Position Summary:

The Controller role oversees all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Responsibilities include full-cycle accounting, financial statement preparation, internal controls, and process improvements.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including month/year end close, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, including proper revenue recognition according to ASC 606 and lease accounting under ASC 842.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations, providing explanations for variances.
  • Collaborate with management to develop budgets and forecasts.
  • Lead annual audit processes and implement internal control enhancements.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of corporate accounting experience, with 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Preference for experience in Consumer Goods/Distribution/Manufacturing industries and familiarity with private equity environments.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP accounting software.
