  • Monday to Friday: 2:15 PM - 12:45 AM
  • Possible Overtime: Saturdays, 2:15 PM - 12:45 AM
Note: Initial training will be conducted on the 1st shift.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling products according to work orders, bill of materials, and routing instructions. This role requires a high degree of precision and the ability to follow specific instructions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain work orders from the lead person.
  • Check the bill of materials for the description, quantity, and parts needed to build the product.
  • Carefully read routing instructions and report labor against the proper sequence.
  • Review work orders for any special instructions and seek clarification if needed from the lead person or supervisor.
  • Request production assembly drawings from the lead person, supervisor, or inspector when required.
  • Inspect all parts as they are being used.
  • Inspect flanges (the joint between the body and cover) 100% with a .0015" feeler gauge, ensuring the gauge does not penetrate deeper than 1/8".
  • Check for porosity, torn threads, bad paint, missing features, etc., as per instructions from routings, drawings, the lead person, or supervisor.
  • Lubricate all indicated threaded areas.
  • Remove nonconforming or questionable materials to designated areas until a determination is made.
  • Communicate any assembly problems (e.g., bad parts, equipment, fixtures, tools, drawings, or unclear work instructions) to the lead person, supervisor, or inspector for corrective action.
  • Clear your work area and return all consumable parts to their designated places after completing each work order.
  • Return special tools, equipment, and drawings to their appropriate locations.
  • Use downtime constructively: fill bins with consumable parts, clean your area, and prepare for the next work order or instructions.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Wiring experience is required.
  • Ability to use hoists for handling heavier products.
  • High attention to detail and precision in following assembly instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, routing instructions, and production assembly drawings.
  • Experience with inspection tools such as feeler gauges.
  • Familiarity with lubricating threaded areas as required.
  • Strong communication skills to report issues and seek clarifications.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of bending, pushing, and lifting items as required during assembly.
