Powertrain Systems Engineer

Position Description:

  • Develop Electrified Powertrain Control System work products that coordinate actions and High Level Functions between modules and subsystems to meet vehicle level and Feature attributes such as: Functional requirements, Quality Documents (Boundary Diagrams, FMEA, P-Diagram, Interface Matrix), Design Validation Method (DVM) - Test Specification, Design Validation Plan and Report (DVP&R) - Test Report
  • Software in the Loop (SIL)/ Hardware in the Loop (HIL) test development and automation
  • Perform System level testing in vehicle, on breadboard or using Software/Hardware in the Loop
  • Submit Communication Network Interface Design requests to identify signals transmitted and received by vehicle control modules (CAN, Services, Ethernet)
Skills Required:
  • Control System Development
Experience Required:
  • Electric Vehicle Experience
  • 3+ years' experience in control system design or calibration
  • Experience with vehicle systems and/or vehicle level attributes
  • Good team interpersonal skills and practices
  • Understanding of powertrain systems, components and electrified vehicles Driver's License
Education Required:
  • BSME or BSEE Engineering/Software Field
