The Performance Improvement Nurse Designs, implements, and monitors patient safety programs that support the organizational goal to reduce patient harm. The Performance Improvement Nurse performs root cause analyses and proactive risk reduction measures when indicated and monitors corrective action plans. The Performance Improvement Nurse establishes strong working relationships with interdisciplinary members of the health care team including the medical staff, nursing and other operational areas, administration, and support services. The position encompasses project management, consultation, facilitation, data abstraction, data analysis, and interpretation. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
