Position: Sr
Controls Engineer
Location: North Phoenix (Deer Valley area)
Schedule: Monday ??? Friday, 100% in-office, normal business hours
Compensation: 80k-140k DOE plus bonus

Job Responsibilities

  • Control system conceptualization and planning
  • Programming using sequential function blocks, structured text, or ladder logic
  • Design and implementation of HMI programs
  • Design control panels using, or in collaboration with users of, EPLAN or other control design software
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians to assemble/build panels
  • Collaboration with customers to understand their requirements for system interface, data collection, and data transfer
  • System startup and debug through completion and factory acceptance testing
  • Design and implement systems to allow remote interface to installed equipment
  • Understand, program, and operate vision system for component detection and/or barcode or readable character inspection

Job Requirements
  • Possess minimum 5 years high-level experience with PLC's, Motion Control, Embedded systems, or some combination of these with ability to show capacity to learn new systems as required
  • Previous experience in design and programming of systems related to industrial automation equipment
  • Experience with both digital and analog I/O systems and Motion Control
  • Development of API???s (Application Programming Interface) or drivers for interface with external automation equipment
  • Experience with Beckhoff hardware and software solutions
  • Competency using IEC 61131-3 programming languages
  • AutoCAD Electrical experience a plus
  • EPLAN experience a plus
  • Strategic thinker able to envision, communicate, and develop long-term implementation plans in addition to delivering results now
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
