POSITION TITLE: Senior Controls Technician
REPORTS TO: Director of Controls

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Senior Controls Technician represents the pinnacle of expertise within our Controls Technician roles, having attained mastery in all facets of system integration. This position encompasses all responsibilities associated with a Technician III, in addition to holding certifications in BACNet Advanced Application Controllers and demonstrating proficiency in both Niagara AX and N4 programming, alongside IT networking capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Possess Niagara AX certification. Exhibit comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in HVAC systems, controls programming, startup, and commissioning processes. Ensure on-site performance and management to guarantee projects are executed professionally and punctually. Carry out job responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction. Provide support and mentorship to colleagues within the controls and mechanical service division to uphold customer satisfaction levels. Conduct ongoing project reviews with clients throughout the project lifecycle and during closeout. Manage project closeout tasks, including documentation preparation and obtaining client satisfaction letters. Perform monthly evaluations of job costs and forecasts for project completion. Generate clear and professional documentation of project activities. Participate in weekly production meetings to coordinate project efforts. Address customer needs promptly and report urgent issues to the Controls Engineer and/or Director of Controls. Identify customer requirements and provide effective solutions to meet project goals. Coordinate subcontractor activities to adhere to project timelines. Deliver, monitor, and follow up on internal project updates to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and expectation-meeting job completions. Offer site superintendent support as directed. Assist in processing plans, submittals, and O&M Manuals. Provide weekly email updates to the Director of Controls and Project Manager regarding project status. Ensure compliance with established company project delivery policies and procedures, while developing enhancements as necessary. Conduct all assigned tasks in a safe and effective manner. Resolve project-related issues promptly through clear communication with clients, subcontractors, design professionals, vendors, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
NOTE: This position is classified as safety-sensitive.
