Description Engineering manufacturer is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team for a long term contract opportunity. Responsibilities: • May be accountable for key foundational customer accounts, along with resolving complex issues. Drives resolution to systemic issues within the organization. • Develops procedures and work instructions that are required per the Quality Management System and manages the review and approval processes. Is a subject matter expert and the go to member for instruction and guidance on Quality System activities. • Drives a strategic mindset and commitment to continuous improvement across the operation (i.e. defines improvement goals, establishes accountability through SQDRC metrics, uses Lean/Six Sigma tools and techniques to continually improve processes and business results, and establishes a mindset within operations to document and control processes; promotes safety and housekeeping; uses facilitative leadership). • Assembles, analyzes, and monitors appropriate company and customer metrics and implements improvements for the performance of Quality. • Leads and mentors advance quality planning processes. Examples include Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)/First Article Inspection (FAI), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) processes. (May be performed by CQE at some sites.) • Acts as the customer liaison/advocate for Woodward compliance to customer quality requirements and customer satisfaction relative to quality of products and services.
