Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineering Manager to lead our device engineering team. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical engineering, with expertise in designing and developing small-footprint opto-mechanical instrumentation and consumables. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple parallel projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a small team of engineers working on new product development, contract manufacturing, and internal R&D.
  • Prioritize diverse activities for the engineering team, including customer-driven troubleshooting, operations support, and new product development.
  • Collaborate with embedded software development teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
  • Interface with contract manufacturing firms, OEMs, and product development firms to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing engineering projects, ideally from concept to commercialization.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, and performance reviews.

Travel and Working Conditions
