- Estimated annual base pay: $90,560 (minimum) - $113,200 (midpoint) - $135,840 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Quality Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
This position reports directly to the Quality leader and is responsible for providing a moderate to high level of support to operations and quality personnel in a manufacturing environment in an aerospace manufacturing facility. Position provides organizational and customer support for quality & regulatory requirements, compliance, and system and process improvements, as well as mentoring to operations personnel and other quality engineers. This positionrequires minimal supervision with a high level of independent work.Drives the use of Continuous Improvement methodologies, Six Sigma principles, methods, and tools. In general, this position will operate in a production/assembly/test environment on a daily basis.
What You Will Be Doing
- Accountable for ensuring the robustness of root cause analysis and problem solving utilizing Six Sigma methodology and Woodward Quality Management System processes.
- Drives continuous improvement across the operation (i.e., defines improvement goals, establishes accountability through SQDRC metrics, uses Lean/Six Sigma tools and techniques to continually improve processes and business results, and establishes a mindset within operations to document and control processes; promotes safety and housekeeping; uses facilitative leadership).
- Performs quality related activities associated with the nonconforming material control process.
- Leads Zero Defect Clinic for relevant production line(s) and is responsible for resolution of investigations involving customer returns.
- Monitors and reports on relevant company/customer metrics. Leads action, as appropriate.
What We Are Looking For
- US - bachelor's degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) Bachelors (or international equivalent) degree is required.Degree in a related technical field is preferred.
- 5+ years Minimum 5 years of quality, engineering, machine shop, assembly or functional testing experience required.
- 5+ years Minimum 5 years of Quality Management Systems experience, including experience related to document management, internal and/or external audits, nonconforming material control, and root cause and corrective action processes, is required.
- Some domestic travel may be required.
- Communicates and operates effectively within Woodward's organizational structure. Helpsto improveinformation systems, processes, and products.
- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of and ability to drive Root Cause Corrective Action concepts/processes, including the 8D process to eliminate cause(s) in internal processes, or external processes when necessary.
- Demonstrates strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills (including presentations). Writes standard technical reports. Able to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively lead teams across multiple functional areas, and work with various levels within the organization, customers, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to complete company goal/tasks in a timely manner, and at times, work under aggressive schedules.
