Senior Operations Engineer / SRE
Nucleus is hiring a Senior Operations Engineer to join our team to support the Nucleus application, employees, and customers. The Senior Operations Engineer is instrumental in the organization’s ability to deliver a reliable and performant application. This technical role will work closely with the development and infrastructure teams to monitor and maintain the production platform. The Senior Operations Engineer will be responsible for detecting, resolving, or escalating issues before they become customer support issues. Demonstrated abilities in technical systems and architecture, multitasking, organizational skills and a high capacity to learn are imperative. What You Will Do
- Design, create, and maintain cloud platforms.
- Use software as a tool to manage systems, solve problems, and automate operations tasks.
- Responsible for the availability, latency, change management, emergency response, and capacity management of services in production.
- Help DevSecOps team by monitoring and reporting the status of all production applications.
- Assist in troubleshooting complex customer issues as needed.
What You Can Do
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with at least 1 cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Experience with Linux.
- Ability to migrate and scale cloud systems and solutions to allow for the growing infrastructure to remain available, secure, and performant.
- Self-starter with an ability to troubleshoot complex problems and deploy/develop fixes.
- Deep understanding of designing and deploying cloud technologies.
- Team player with ability to adapt to the rapidly changing world of startups and be a member of the on-call rotation.
- Scripting or programming experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience directly related to the job functions.
- Industry accepted certifications.
- Experience with Ansible.
- Experience with containers.
- Experience with SQL and various DBMS’
- Experience with CI/CD development and deployment
- Background in vulnerability management in large enterprises.
