NLP Logix is recruiting a Site Reliability Engineer to join its growing team of IT and Business professionals. This position is for a full-time employee, will be based out of Jacksonville, FL.


NLP Logix is a Data Science product and services company based in Jacksonville, FL that specializes in AI Solution Development, Machine Learning, and Advanced Analytics for a variety of use cases, industries, and customers across the United States.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join NLP Logix's dynamic tech team. As an SRE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems and services. You will collaborate closely with development and production support teams to build and maintain automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about designing robust, scalable systems and thrives in a fast-paced environment.


Essential functions and responsibilities:


  • System Reliability: Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reliable systems to support our applications and services.
  • Automation and Tooling: Develop automation tools and scripts for deployment, monitoring, and operations tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Monitoring and Incident Response: Implement monitoring solutions and respond to alerts to ensure uptime and performance SLAs are met. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents promptly to minimize downtime by reviewing insights and logs. Create usage and monitoring dashboards in cloud environments for use by the DevOps, Development, and Client Operations teams.
  • Scalability: Work with development teams to design scalable architectures and continuously improve infrastructure for growth and performance.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions for improved performance and efficiency. Review usage logs to determine cost optimizations, infrastructure improvements, etc.
  • Security: Collaborate on security strategies and ensure systems and applications are secure and compliant with industry standards.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document processes, procedures, and configurations.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and adoption of new technologies.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role in a production environment.
  • Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and incident response.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a teamwork mindset.

Desired Skills:


  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
