As a Head Teller aka Service Associate III, your day will be filled with opportunities to actively supervise tellers at a branch location to ensure customer banking transactions are completed in a timely manner, sales opportunities are acted upon, and behavior is friendly and professional. Experience working as a teller combined with problem solving skills and decision making ability are important while Stock Yards Bank & Trust will provide a professional environment to continually improve the candidate’s skills to further his/her career goals for advancement within the banking profession.Responsibilities Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Exemplify our 212 commitment to servicePerform all duties of a Service Associate IIConsultative Selling - Engaging customers and prospects to uncover needs and offer solutionsSupervise all Service Associate activities, including customer service efforts, balancing success, and maintenance of work areasPerform various branch level audits of cash and cash handling equipmentApprove checks and deposits according to SYB check cashing and hold waiver policiesBalance ATMOrder and ship money to maintain proper inventory and fill coin and currency ordersParticipate in the interviewing process and hiring decisionsProvide ongoing training, feedback and input to Office Manager on Service Associate performance reviewsParticipate in weekly team meetingsCommunicate procedural changes or update to the staffJob RequirementsThe successful candidate will have the following qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalent6 months of Teller experienceGood written and verbal communication skillsProven decision-making abilityProven ability to supervise and work well with othersProfessional appearance and demeanorMust be dependableHelp lead and guide Service Associates on the teller lineBenefits401(k) with a company match of up to 6%ESOP employer matchMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceCancer / Disease insuranceAccident insuranceFlexible Spending AccountsHealth Savings AccountsHumana Go365 Wellness & Rewards ProgramBank paid Life / AD& D insuranceVoluntary Life / AD&D insuranceBank paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability insuranceEmployee Stock Purchase PlanEmployee Assistance ProgramPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
