  • Cybersecurity Operations: Extensive background in cybersecurity operations, including network security, malware analysis, and threat intelligence.
  1. Technical Skills:
  • Security Tools: Proficiency in using SOC tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems), and forensic analysis tools.
  • Forensics & Analysis: Strong skills in forensic analysis, malware analysis, and reverse engineering of security incidents.
  • Network Security: In-depth knowledge of network protocols, traffic analysis, and common attack vectors.
  1. Leadership & Management:
  • Team Leadership: Experience leading and managing IT security teams, with the ability to assign tasks, track performance, and mentor team members.
  • Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and implement strategies for incident response and overall security operations.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience in planning, executing, and reporting on incident response activities.
  1. Communication Skills:
  • Incident Reporting: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document incident response activities and lessons learned.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.
  1. Education & Certifications:
  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or GCIH (GIAC Certified Incident Handler) are highly desirable.

  • Geographic Requirement: Candidates must reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with a combination of remote work and on-site presence in Alexandria, Virginia.

  • Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple incidents simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain or possess a security clearance if required by the client.
