Physician Assistant Candidates:
Education:
- Degree from an accredited physician assistant training program
- Master's level training preferred.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current IL Physician Assistant License
- Current DEA and Controlled Substance License
- Current Certification as a physician assistant by the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current ACLS/PALS
- Current CPR certification
Experience:
- 2 years of emergency medicine experience as a PA
APN candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Master's degree in nursing (MSN or MS)
- Certification in area of specialty
- Current ACLS/PALS
- Current DEA
- 2 years Emergency Department experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current State of Illinois Advance Practice Nurse license and a collaborative practice agreement
- Current CPR Certification issued by either the American Heart Association or Red Cross
