Job Summary:

We are seeking a senior-level Consulting Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience in software engineering. This role involves leading and guiding a team, working on the integration of AI tools, and serving as a subject matter expert. The ideal candidate will collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders, contributing to the evolution of software architecture, and providing technical solutions to complex challenges. Proficiency in core Java and minimal AI skills is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical lead and collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to create or understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions.

• Follow architectural standards, required development processes, and coding best practices.

• Participate in the evolution and development of architecture.

• Mentor software developers by providing coding assistance, code reviews, and process guidance.

• Design and work with complex data models.

• Resolve complex technical issues with timely and accurate solutions.

• Stay updated on new technology developments, both internally and externally.

• Create, maintain, and review technical documentation for internal users.

• Manage delivery of software modules and manage user stories.

• Perform defect RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and mitigation.

• Set FAST goals and provide feedback to the team members.

• Perform and review unit tests, create test plans, and assist the testing team.

• Optimize the application development, maintenance, and performance by employing design patterns and reusing proven solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering.

• Expertise in core Java development, not limited to frameworks.

• Experience with constructing and troubleshooting applications deployed in Azure.

• Advanced problem-solving skills and experience with data manipulation and analysis.

• Strong research skills with the ability to learn and apply new tools, languages, and technologies.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with mathematical aspects of computer science.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

• Experience in mentoring junior developers.

• Ability to manage and lead project delivery of modules or stories independently.

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications in software engineering, development, or cloud technologies are preferred.

• Domain certifications in specific technologies or methodologies are an added advantage.

Performance Areas:

• Ensure adherence to engineering processes, standards, and project timelines.

• Minimize defects in the code and post-delivery issues.

• Review and maintain project documentation, including requirements and test cases.

• Provide guidance to development teams and interface with customers to clarify requirements.

• Optimize efficiency, cost, and quality by reusing existing components or creating new solutions.

• Collaborate effectively with other teams, stakeholders, and designers.

• Demonstrate effective team management by providing feedback and ensuring high motivation.

• Lead conferences with customers to address technical questions and challenges.

• Estimate time, effort, and resources required for developing or debugging components.
