Category Analyst Job Details Job Location Dallas - Main Office - Dallas, TX Description The Category Analyst position will assist the Category Management team in the development of category and brand growth stories, category reviews, business reviews, assortment, and modular plans. The successful candidate will provide analysis and actionable recommendations leveraging robust market and consumer data assets. The Category Analyst will report to the Category Management Lead and also work with the Category Manager and Sales team members. Additionally, the candidate must have strong relationship building skills. Position Responsibilities: Provide category, shopper and brand insight using syndicated point of sale (POS) and consumer panel data to optimize assortment, pricing, and promotion to increase Daisy Brand and category sales. Identify growth opportunities through robust analysis of markets, channels, retailers, and competitors. Assist with the development of fact-based sales presentations with win-win retailer & Daisy Brand sell stories. Create best-in-class planograms by optimizing assortment and shelf space that drive category growth. Ongoing business performance reporting and tracking. Building strong partnerships with cross functional team members. Providing sales presentation support for Daisy Brand’s Food Service department. Key Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field required. 2 years’ analytical experience within the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry. Experience in analyzing and interpreting data and ability to tell a story with data. Knowledge of syndicated point of sale and consumer panel data (Circana, NIQ, etc.). A plus to have knowledge of space management software (Blue Yonder, etc.). Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal and written presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively on a team as well as individually. Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
