A professional services firm in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Tax professional to join their Tax Credits & Incentives team as a Tax Senior.

Responsibilities:

The Tax Senior will be responsible for

  • Identifying, qualifying, and calculating tax credits and other incentives
  • Advising clients with respect to location strategy decisions, as well as credits & incentives related to hiring and/or investments
  • Communicating with project stakeholders, including internal parties and economic development representatives
  • Assisting with other projects within C&I and/or SALT as required
  • Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a Professional Services setting
  • Bachelor's and/or Graduate Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Law, and/or Taxation
  • CPA or parts passed
  • Experience with SALT credits and incentives
  • Knowledge of unitary filing, apportionment methodologies, tax base rules, tax research, compliance and consulting as it relates to multi-state jurisdictions
  • Experience with state credits and incentives for job creation and qualifying investments
  • Thorough understanding of automated tax processing systems and laws within your area of technical professionalism
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with SALT credits and incentives
  • Knowledge of unitary filing, apportionment methodologies, tax base rules, tax research, compliance and consulting as it relates to multi-state jurisdictions
  • Experience with state credits and incentives for job creation and qualifying investments
