Specific duties include but are not limited to
- Inbound & Outbound Coordination:
- Coordinate suppliers and customer return inbound clearance.
- Track and ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
- Make special shipping arrangements as necessary.
- Coordinate transportation providers, including international shipments.
- Prepare shipping documents, including Shippers Letter of Instruction.
- Create documents for international orders, including researching Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Export Compliance Control Numbers.
- Prepare bills, review invoicing, and manage import/export documentation.
- Perform due diligence on buyers/importers using the Prohibited/Denied Parties List.
- Facilitate effective communication between production, supply chain, and third-party logistics providers.
- Work closely with production teams and vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
- Act as a liaison between logistics, production, and customers to resolve any shipping issues or delays.
- Identify potential delays or issues in the supply chain and develop proactive solutions.
- Work with other teams to ensure all logistics processes are efficient and compliant with regulatory guidelines.
- Continuously review and improve logistics operations to reduce costs and improve service.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong knowledge of transportation modes, methods, and ISO requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations and export compliance.
- Shipment Coordination: Monitor and facilitate both domestic and international shipments to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Documentation Management: Ensure accuracy in shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and export compliance documents.
- Customer Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for customers, updating them on shipment status and addressing any issues.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with customs regulations, export/import compliance, and harmonized tariff systems.
