As a Materials Engineering Intern at MANN+HUMMEL, you will gain hands-on experience in the field of materials engineering, working on a key project that you will manage throughout your internship. This 6-12 month program offers the opportunity to support various departments, develop improvement concepts, and present your results to the leadership team.

Main Tasks

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute a key project assigned for the duration of the internship.
  • Provide support to the assigned department
  • Develop and present improvement concepts to the leadership team.
  • Engage in hands-on work to understand business processes and challenges.
  • Learn and develop with the support of experienced colleagues.
Your Profile

Education and Experience:
  • Actively pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Materials or Chemical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Prior work experience in a manufacturing company is preferred but not required.
Skills:
  • Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to take responsibility for projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to multitask in a collaborative team and office setting.
  • Understanding of basic laboratory work environment.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Interest in filtration and production technologies, with a curiosity to learn and develop within a manufacturing plant.
Additional Information:
  • Internship duration: 6-12 months.
  • During school: 15-20 working hours per week.
  • During school breaks: 20-40 working hours per week.
