The RN works as the leader of all members of the healthcare team to ensure excellence in the clinical practice of nursing and the delivery of patient care. The RN is responsible and accountable for patient care provided by assigned nursing staff. As a leader of this healthcare team, the RN ensures that an individualized plan of care is provided for all patients and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Current RN license to practice in California.

2. Minimum of 3 years acute care experience within the past 5 years.

3. BLS certification required and maintained.

4. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required and maintained.

5. 12 Lead EKG class within one year of becoming an RN III if not already completed.

6. Must show proof of competency in reading and evaluation of cardiac arrhythmias.

7. Must pass the ICU Ventilator Competency by the end of the probationary period.

8. Must have knowledge of vasoactive and antiarrhthmic medications, dosages, uses and side effects.

9. Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in the English language.

10. Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, and co-workers.

11. Ability to provide RN leadership in a positive direction that is consistent with the policies, goals,

objectives, mission and vision of the Hospital and Nursing Department.

12. Must have above or exceed standards evaluation from RRH in the past year.
