Description

Answers telephone; assists callers; greets and assists public; assists with website management, information technology coordination, and department research; assists with distribution of office supplies and equipment; assists with records management functions and election records; files information; assists with banking and post office (courier) functions.

Responsibilities and Tasks
A. Receives Calls and Assists Visitors (10%)
  1. Answers the telephone and assists callers as needed.
  2. Greets the public and assists as possible.
B. Provides General Clerical Assistance (50%)
  1. Assists with website management.
  2. Assists with information technology coordination.
  3. Assists with department research.
  4. Assists with distribution of office supplies and equipment.
C. Maintains Records (20%)
  1. Assists with record management functions.
  2. Assists with election records.
  3. Files information as needed.
D. Performs Related Services (20%)
  1. Assists with banking and post office (courier) operations.
  2. Performs related tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  1. Knowledge of filing systems.
  2. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, MS Word, MS Excel, and various computer software.
  3. Computer skills to access city computer system and enter account data.
  4. Writing skills to clearly prepare receipts, forms and other work related documents.
  5. Ability to operate basic office equipment.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers and the general public.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. High School diploma or GED and current enrollment in postsecondary school.
  2. Possess a valid Alabama driver's license.
  3. Must meet City of Enterprise physical standards which include drug and alcohol testing.
