As a System Engineer, you will take ownership of the complete technical solution for a multi-zone conventional Astro P25 encrypted voice and data network, which includes WAVE dispatch, OTAP/OTAR, Radio Management, and other subsystems.

This position offers tremendous growth potential for the right candidate and provides flexibility in terms of work location (customer location, PMO, home office), primarily based at the on-site customer location in downtown D.C. • Throughout the program lifecycle, there will be multiple design and deployment contracts in various stages of execution, each with a dedicated team of Project Managers, Engineers, and Subject Matter Experts as required to fulfill the contract scope.
  • The System Engineer is responsible for ensuring effective coordination among these efforts to ensure compliance with overall program goals, technical coherence, and schedule.
  • Takes ownership of the performance to requirements, goals, and objectives associated with the technical solution.
  • Assumes total ownership of the design process, which may involve multiple design awards for different regions across the United States, adhering to the program-level design process.
  • Takes ownership of the implementation phase, including order processing, staging, shipping, installation, testing, and other related activities that may span across multiple contracts, awards, and modifications.
  • Provides support for the successful planning and execution of all contract and modification awards.
  • Plays a key role in customer relationship management, aligning with corporate business plans, and ensuring close alignment with Sales goals and strategic direction.
  • Acts as a vital member of the core Program Office staff, maintaining a strong working relationship with the SI/M&S Manager, Lead Program Manager, Technical Service Manager, Customer Support Manager (CSM), and Lead Sales Manager.
  • Supports the evaluation of corporate portfolios to align with Sales and customer strategic direction and requirements.
Additional Requirements:
  • Preferred qualification of 2+ years of experience in IT, Radio Communications or Telecommunication sectors within the Federal, State, and Local Government markets, specifically in Engineering or Service provider roles.

  • Familiarity with Work Breakdown Structure development and Systems Engineering processes (Requirements/Preliminary Design, Critical Design, etc.) is desirable.
  • Previous experience in directly managing technical teams to support multiple and/or larger contracts is highly preferred.
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
