UI Health is seeking a Healthcare Technician- CT to join our Diagnostic Service Department. In this role you will assists in the examination and/ or treatment of patients in a hospital or clinic setting.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepares patients for CT exams or similar; assisting the positioning of patients on the examination table
  • Set up and monitors medical equipment and devices or other related equipment as directed;
  • Assists technologists or other medical professionals with examinations, treatments and procedures;
  • Coordinates with floor/ED for patient transport to and from via tele-tracking
  • Assists with movement or transport of patients;
  • Reviews the order and patient history information as needed;
  • Answers phones and coordinate with front desk for out-patients exams.
  • Routinely checks with outpatients waiting for exams and provide status update.
  • Cleans and disinfects equipment as needed
  • Stocks procedure/examination rooms with supplies;
  • Help maintains or repairs appropriate medical equipment;
  • Completes transport communication tool and assists in diagnostic tests as directed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Required:
  1. High school graduation or equivalent.
  2. Any one or any combination totaling six (6 months) from the following categories:
    A. Six (6 months) of work experience in direct patient care in a healthcare setting or equivalent.

    B. College course work in a related field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent.
    • 30 semester hours equals six (6 months)

    3. Current/Valid American Heart Association BLS CPR Certification
