Job Description

Alamance Foods, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The Warehouse Manager will ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products, maintaining adherence to FIFO inventory practices and safety standards. This role is critical for maintaining our supply chain and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities/ Outcomes
  • Supervise Warehouse Operations: Manage daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, and shipping.
  • Inventory Management: Implement and monitor FIFO practices to ensure optimal product rotation and minimize waste.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse capacity and improve operational efficiency.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and clean work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of warehouse staff, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with other departments, such as production and logistics, to ensure seamless operations and meet business goals.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and performance metrics.
  • Technology Utilization: Utilize warehouse management software to track and manage inventory and shipments effectively.
  • Warehouse Manager will be reporting to Sr. Manager.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
