The successful candidate will have the ability to have a positive impact on our agency employees as part of a hardworking, cohesive team responsible for payroll and human resources functions. Knowledge of payroll, data analytics and reporting is a plus. If you have excellent customer service skills, a willingness to learn, and meet the minimum requirements listed below, we are looking for you

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education, training, and/or experience which provides a basic knowledge and understanding of human resource functions.

Preferences:

Preference will be given to candidates with payroll experience, and to those who are well spoken, well written and have the desire to better themselves and their team.

Some duties you may expect to perform, include, but are not limited to:

  • Collect times and attendance data, verify information for accuracy, compute wages and/or deductions and enter information into payroll systems.

  • Review time and attendance records, wage computations, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.

  • Complete, review, examine, and record human resource transactions, ensuring all appropriate policies and procedures are being followed.

  • Explain department human resources policies, benefits, procedures, and collective bargaining contract provisions to employees and supervisors.

  • Conduct new hire orientation, to include meeting with new employees, processing paperwork and related human resources transactions.
