ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in overall administration, estimating, and project support for construction and account related electrical projects

  • Assist Project Manager in supervising the project through purchasing, engineering, subletting and installation.

  • Accurately estimate labor, materials, and administrative costs for assigned projects.

  • Accurately interpret the design drawings and specifications submitted by engineers.

  • Have a good understanding of design build and skill set to develop conceptual information.

  • Utilize estimating software and Bluebeam to properly estimate project.

  • Maintain and develop good customer relations.

  • Support the Project Manager through the project process.

  • Assist in preparing, processing and maintaining all files, correspondence, schedules, reports, billing, etc. necessary to perform the responsibilities of the contract.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Two (2) year degree in electrical construction, construction management.

  • National Electrical Code knowledge/experience.

  • Drawing/blueprint reading and specification experience.

  • Basic Microsoft Excel and Word computer skills.

  • Experience with computerized estimating preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong work ethic, good attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • This job operates in a professional office environment, while occasionally visiting construction job sites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.

  • This position may occasionally operate at an industrial job site and be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and noise.

  • Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.

  • This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.

  • This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers, and fax machines.
