Secret Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80840 US (Primary) % Travel 0 - 10% Job Description WANTED: A mission-driven professional with 12 years of experience and an Active SECRET clearance to become our Senior Database Administrator in Colorado Springs, CO. As a Senior Database Administrator, you will: Be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the company's databases. Work closely with IT teams, developers, and business analysts to ensure database structures are suitable to meet business needs. Receive a robust benefits package that includes Employee Stock Ownership Plan Join a team of dedicated professionals who care about the quality of our product A day in the life of a Senior Database Administrator: Design, implement, and maintain database structures (e.g., tables, indexes, triggers, stored procedures). Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity. Administer and maintain multiple Server database environments, including installation, configuration, and patch management. Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexing, and managing database configurations. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 12 years of experience in database administration. Extensive experience with database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. Strong knowledge of database design principles, tuning, and backup/restoration processes. Proficient in SQL and experience with various database management tools. Familiarity with cloud-based database services and data modeling. Active Secret clearance is required. This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule. Due to federal requirements, only US Citizens can be considered. Candidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered Telework: Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer's discretion. This includes being on-site during the transition period.
