Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob Description
This position assists in the daily production of products, works on continuous improvement supporting the shop floor, manages the SCAR (supplier NCR) and the NCR linked to their scope of activities, assures compliance to and provides guidance regarding interpreting ISO & FDA standards in connection with the Manufacturing Quality activities. The Manufacturing QA Technician partners with the Manufacturing QEs to support the Quality Inspectors (QAR) in daily activities. - Assist production and participate in achieving the group's objectives determined with the Production or Group Managers, relative to Quality. - Support efforts to implement LEAP principles throughout the organization, such as participating in PSM or LEAP workshops. Represent QA and report KPI during daily cross-functional PSM2 meetings. - Conduct NCR investigations especially linked to the shop floor or the supplier, respecting due dates and using problem-solving tools when applicable (working as part of a cross-functional team). Interface with the supplier in case of SCAR. Interface with the customer in case of complaints based on experience. - Interface with the QAR (QA inspector) to ensure they are properly trained, and that the documentation is accurate. They can also escalate to the QE or to the QA manager depending on the situation. - Potentially perform visual inspection, including using vision systems, CMM, and microscopes depending on floor bandwidth. - Create and maintain updated work instructions, inspection plans, inspection work instructions, including adherence to quality requirements and standards.
