Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Systems Analyst understands cross-department workflows and partners with customers to optimize system configurations. They play a key role in configuring, testing, and implementing software upgrades, ensuring customer satisfaction, and collaborating with the Manager and Technical Lead on new projects.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent education/experience
  • Three years of relevant configuration/programming experience
  • Healthcare-related experience preferred
CERTIFICATION:
  • Epic certification or applicable system training/proficiency within 6 months of hire
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Coordinates limited scope projects and interacts with customers to analyze and evaluate requests.
  2. Analyzes workflow and business operations, translating decisions into system configurations.
  3. Collects, interprets, and documents specifications for new or revised functionality.
  4. Performs intermediate programming/scripting for assigned projects.
  5. Prioritizes and implements system changes, coordinating updates with users and testing thoroughly.
  6. Utilizes reporting tools or SQL for data reporting.
  7. Performs data extractions and migrations between systems.
  8. Implements and tests fixes in the TEST/DEV environments, ensuring configurations work correctly.
  9. Serves as a bridge between end users and vendor support staff, responding to technical questions.
  10. Troubleshoots user problems or questions.
  11. Communicates with vendor implementation teams, tailoring systems to organizational needs.
  12. Submits project status updates, completing tasks on schedule and providing regular updates.
  13. Adheres to change, problem, and incident processes, coordinating change management activities.
  14. Applies project management principles to execute project plans and maintain accurate time tracking.
  15. Assists trainers when needed.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Professional communication with customers and staff
  • Strong knowledge of MS platforms, including Windows Server and MS Office
  • Excellent customer service, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow management direction
  • Applies technical updates, upgrades, and migrations
  • Accurate and logical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently
  • Strong knowledge of security concepts and user permissions management
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
